Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies - An Old Recipe from Crisco.

I originally shared this recipe for my Sunday Funday Recipe last year. This recipe makes 3 dozen cookies. (36 cookies)

Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 3/4 Cup Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1-1/4 Cup Firmly Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanila
  • 1 Egg
  • 1-3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon Baking Soda

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°. Place sheets of foil on counter top for cooling cookies.
  2. Combine shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended.
  3. Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended.
  4. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten slightly in crisscross pattern with tines of fork.
  5. Bake at 375° for 7 to 8 minutes, or until set and just begging to brown. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely.

I like to use parchment paper to help prevent sticking on my cookie sheets.

You can also use cooling racks instead.

My daughter loves to make No Bake Cookies

Celebrating Cinco de Mayo: A Christian Perspective – Cinco de Mayo, which means “Fifth of May” in Spanish, is a holiday that originated in Mexico but has gained popularity and recognition around the world. While many people associate Cinco de Mayo with festive celebrations, delicious food, and vibrant parades, it is important for Christians to reflect on this occasion from a faith-centered perspective. In this blog post, we will explore Cinco de Mayo through the lens of our Christian beliefs and consider how we can find meaning and purpose in this cultural celebration.
